QA Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Quality Assurance (QA) Manual Tester to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our software applications by conducting manual tests. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other team members to identify and document software issues, track them through to resolution, and help improve our product quality.

What you will do

  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure the quality of software products
  • Perform manual testing, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using testing tools and frameworks
  • Identify, record, and track defects to closure
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product requirements are met
  • Participate in product design reviews to provide input on testability and quality
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and new technologies related to software testing

What we are looking for

  • At least 3 years of experience in web and mobile software quality assurance
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Basic experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright)
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
  • Experience with service workers and web storage
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

What will get you bonus points

  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
  • Basic experience in a programming language such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or other
  • Basic experience with API testing (using either Postman, Swagger, Insomnia or similar)
  • Experience with performance testing tools (e.g. JMeter, LoadRunner)
  • Basic experience with SQL
  • Basic experience with Analytics Tools (Algolia, Google Analytics, New Relic, Datadog, etc.
  • Bachelor's degree or completed course in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • ISTQB or other relevant certifications
